message
My name is Shubham Dhakad. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Professional Diploma in Guidance and Counselling from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). I have also pursued training in Career Guidance and International Education Consultant, specializing in study pathways for the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Singapore, New Zealand, Japan, and Turkey. Additionally, I am trained in administering and interpreting various psychometric assessments.
Alongside my psychological training, I am also a certified Assistant Yoga Instructor, which enables me to incorporate a somatic (mind–body) approach into my work. This integration helps clients reconnect with their physical awareness, fostering balance between body, mind, and emotions while addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation.
My professional journey has been deeply rooted in enhancing mental wellness, emotional resilience, and holistic human development. Over the past two years, I have worked extensively with students, educators, and youth communities, bridging the gap between psychological wellbeing, education, and employability.
As a Counselling Psychologist with the Generation India Project, I facilitated training and Psychological interventions across Jaipur, Udaipur, Gwalior, Anuppur, Varanasi, Indore, and Delhi. This experience provided valuable insights into regional diversity in emotional and educational needs, helping me design inclusive and scalable mental health programs tailored to varied contexts.
In my one-to-one counselling sessions with teenagers and young adults, I work with concerns such as anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, personal growth, and existential crises. My therapeutic practice follows an eclectic approach, drawing primarily from Humanistic, Adlerian, Cognitive-Behavioural, Integral, and Somatic frameworks.
Building on this foundation, I Initiated PsyConnect Holistic Services, a social enterprise incubated at AIC-BHU with the mission to integrate mental health, career development, and life skills training under one collaborative platform. PsyConnect’s vision aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing holistic, value-based, and experiential learning.
At PsyConnect, we focus on psychological assessment, counselling, and emotional skills development, while also fostering spiritual intelligence encouraging mindfulness, ethical awareness, and inner purpose alongside academic and vocational growth.
